To Book this Tour
Day 1 – A Warm Welcome to Mizoram
Your journey begins at Guwahati Airport where our Vanijya Tours & Travels team welcomes you for a short, scenic flight into the hills of Mizoram. As your plane descends into Aizawl, the capital city appears like a patchwork of rooftops perched on rolling green hills. Check into your charming boutique homestay, where soft hill breezes and the scent of local cuisine hint at the days of exploration ahead.
Day 2 – Discovering Aizawl’s Pulse
Start your day with a hearty local breakfast before stepping into the vibrant heart of Aizawl. Stroll through Bara Bazar, the city’s bustling marketplace where women in traditional attire sell fresh produce, handwoven textiles, and rare imports from Myanmar. Step into the Millennium Center for a modern shopping contrast before immersing yourself in Mizoram’s heritage at the State Museum, a rich tapestry of tribal artifacts and history. By evening, relax back at your homestay and watch the city lights twinkle across the hills.
Day 3 – Trek to Reiek: Mizo Life in Miniature
After breakfast, head out on a scenic drive to Reiek Tlang — a hilltop haven just an hour from Aizawl. Trek through cool mountain air to a recreated traditional Mizo village, offering a glimpse into the community’s daily life, architecture, and customs. Pause for a soulful lunch amid sweeping valley views before returning to Aizawl for a restful evening.
Day 4 – Villages & Culture on the Road Back
Begin the day with a relaxed breakfast and retrace your path from Reiek to Aizawl. Along the way, step into local tribal villages, exchange smiles and stories with warm-hearted locals, and capture glimpses of Mizo life untouched by time. The afternoon is yours to unwind — browse handlooms, visit cafés, or simply take in the hilltop cityscape from your homestay balcony.
Day 5 – Farewell Aizawl
Wake to the sounds of a hill city coming to life. After a wholesome breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to Mizoram — but not to the memories. Board your flight back to Guwahati or continue onward by train, carrying with you the warmth, colors, and stories of Aizawl’s unique culture.
