Day 1 – Touchdown in Mizoram’s Heart
Your adventure begins at Guwahati Airport where our Vanijya Tours & Travels team welcomes you with a smile. A short scenic flight whisks you to Aizawl — Mizoram’s charming hilltop capital. Check into your boutique homestay, where warm hospitality, local aromas, and sweeping views prepare you for the journey ahead.
Day 2 – Aizawl’s Living Stories
Wake to misty hill mornings and a traditional Mizo breakfast. Explore the State Museum, a treasure trove of tribal heritage and timeless artifacts. Stroll through the vibrant Bara Bazar, where colorful handlooms and fresh spices fill the air with energy. End your day at the awe-inspiring Solomon’s Temple, a landmark blending grandeur and serenity.
Day 3 – Into Lunglei’s Wilderness
Leave Aizawl behind and journey 200 km into the lush embrace of Lunglei. Discover the tranquil charm of Thorangtlang and Saza Wildlife Sanctuaries, alive with rare flora and fauna. Pause by the Nghasih Stream of the Tlawng River, where nature flows in its purest form. Retreat to your cozy homestay, surrounded by the sounds of the wild.
Day 4 – The Mystique of Blue Mountain
Set out for Lawngtlai, home to Mizoram’s highest peak — the legendary Phawngpui (Blue Mountain). Stand on breezy ridges dotted with rhododendrons and orchids, gazing at blue-hazed hills stretching into Myanmar. This is Mizoram at its most spectacular — a living canvas of cliffs, rivers, and skies.
Day 5 – Slow Life in Biate
Trade dramatic peaks for the soft serenity of Biate, a quaint hill town exuding Mizoram’s gentler side. Arrive by evening, watch the hills glow under the setting sun, and savor quiet moments in your boutique stay.
Day 6 – Champhai: The Rice Bowl of Mizoram
Head to Champhai, where ancient monoliths, memorial stones, and village legends tell stories of victories and traditions. Spread before you, a sea of golden-green rice terraces stretches to the horizon — a sight so stunning it lingers in your memory.
Day 7 – Lakes & Caves Beyond Borders
Step into folklore at Rih Dil Lake, a mystical blue waterbody just across the Myanmar border, sacred to Mizo tradition. Then journey underground to explore Tluangtea Puk, Far Puk (Pine Cave), Mura Puk, and Kungawrhi Puk — each cave echoing tales of legend and mystery.
Day 8 – Cultural Stopovers on the Road to Aizawl
On your way back to Aizawl, pause at tribal villages, exchanging smiles, stories, and glimpses into everyday life. By afternoon, return to your homestay for a restful evening of shopping, café-hopping, or simple reflection.
Day 9 – A Graceful Goodbye
As the hills fade from your window, you take a part of Mizoram with you — its misty mornings, soulful people, and timeless landscapes. After a hearty breakfast, your flight to Guwahati awaits, marking the end of a journey, but not of the memories.
